Dover- The Delaware State Police have arrested 34-year-old Jermaine M. Snead for burglary and related charges.

The incident occurred on February 19, 2020 at approximately 1:36 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a residence in the 1900 block of Generals Way, Dover, for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, contact was made with a 57-female who advised that while she was in her residence with her 22-year-old daughter, and 2-year-old grandson, a subject unknown to her had walked inside her home uninvited.  The subject, later identified as Jermaine Snead, proceeded to grab the 22-year-old female, causing her alarm.  The 57-year-old female was continuously asking Snead to leave her residence, when he proceeded to push her out of the way.  All three occupants were able to exit the residence unharmed.

Troopers located Snead, who was found to be intoxicated and still inside the residence upon their arrival.  Snead initially resisted arrest and was subsequently taken into custody.  He was transported back to Troop 3 where he was charged with the following:

  • Burglary Second Degree
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Offensive Touching (2 counts)

Snead was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and released on $11200.00 unsecured bond.
