THE SOUND OF MUSIC

Featuring a trove of cherished songs, including “Climb Ev’ry Mountain,” “My Favorite Things,” “Do Re Mi,” “Sixteeen Going on Seventeen” and the title number, The Sound of Music won the hearts of audiences worldwide, earning numerous awards. The inspirational story, based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp, follows a free-spirited postulant, Maria Rainer (Julie Andrews), who serves as governess to the seven children of the authoritative Captain Georg von Trapp (Christopher Plummer), bringing music and joy to the household. But as the forces of Nazism take hold of Austria, Maria and the entire Von Trapp family must make a difficult decision. The Everett gratefully acknowledges dear friend and patron, Fran Sposato, for sponsoring this special feature.

Street parking is available on Main Street and the surrounding neighborhood, including the street behind the theatre on Pennington. Off street parking is available at the Middletown Municipal Building located off W. Green Street, along with a public lot located on S. Scott Street. All of these locations are just a short walk to the theatre. Please use extreme caution when crossing Main Street. We recommend using the crosswalk located at Broad St. and Main.
